Pauline Zahalan opened Yonge Street Tattoos in 1995 after becoming enamoured with tattooing during a photography project. As one of the few womxn-owned tattoo shops in Toronto at the time, Pauline quickly made Yonge Street Tattoos one of the city’s most popular shops by filling its walls with talented, passionate, and professional artists. Over the years, YST has had the pleasure of tattooing celebrities, first-timers, regulars, and families, helping each of them turn their skin into a story-telling canvas.

In 2016, Yonge Street Tattoos became a collective of independent tattoo artists, all thriving and pursuing their own styles to meet the demands of an ever-changing industry.
